48 hour hold on placenta

client was forced to stay overnight for membrane sweep without food or drinks. (rather than an outpatient membrane sweep) This was before she showed signs of labor.

Parents not allowed in nursery. Partner and doula have to leave the room during epidural placement.
Comment By: Sarah Longhenry
Doula and partner of client had to sign a form indicating we would not interfere with birth, we would take photos only of client from waist up, etc.

client was told if she wanted her placenta she would need to put it in writing; I have since heard that the consents patients sign there indicate they will not release the placenta, so I'm not sure
