This hospital had such poor service for my client that I called Good Samaritan Hospital to check if there were any open beds for a transfer- but the baby came so fast we had no time to move her. Was very disappointed in the nursing staff and poor organization of care. It was truly a nightmare for my client who in spite of these challenges had a beautiful amazing natural birth!! The post partum care was a lot better

-If they are low staffed, the place is awful for waiting for procedures like an ECV- client was bumped by c-sections 3x and waited over 12 hrs for an ECV. Hardly any staff followed up with anything, so had to search for staff about what to expect. -My clients nurse was not familiar w/ vaginal swabbing option, if a c-section was needed. -Drs Chavira and Pickett are respectful breech OBs. Quiet, calm and confident in the L&D room. No episiotomy. Happiest when Mom is on hands and knees position. -Doula noted 15 additional staff in Delivery room, probably half were there for observation and learning purposes. -Keep watch of placenta if planning to take home. A release will need to be signed as well. -Minimal ext fet. monitoring after admission- surprising considering client was breech laboring -My client was extremely vocal (completely unmedicated breech labor) and no one ever came in to ask us to quiet down.

Folgers Automatic machine in the L& D nourishment room (if it works), and cafeteria. There was a large coffee vending machine in the small room adjacent to Cafeteria entrance. Other snack machines as well.

Not sure. Wasnt there long enough to search around. Was safe w/ a hard boiled egg and hash brown patty from the Caf.

Shawna! Loved her, she was a former doula!

Jennifer from L&D. Dark brown Bob hair. She was friendly, but very hands off. Although I think that was due to being short staffed while there.
